Who we are

Transitioning Well was established in 2011 after co-founders, Dr Sarah Cotton and Justine Alter, realised there was a real need for organisations to step up and support employees to manage those moments where their personal and professional lives collide. Such moments could lead to potential conflict or provide genuine opportunities for development and growth.

As psychologists and working parents, Sarah and Justine had experienced a variety of life transitions first-hand and knew the positive impact a well-supported journey could have, not only on individuals, but also on workplace culture.

Transitioning Well was born in 2011. As two psychologists and working parents ourselves, we identified a need to support life transitions in the workplace – those moments when we’re challenged both personally and professionally to find our ‘new normal’.
